The long-running Portraiture exhibition at Moo & Two, the distinctive coffee and tea shop on Frome’s historic Catherine Hill continues to grow. Now into its seventh month the rolling exhibition of informal portraiture has been extended to another wall. The people in the portraits are all regulars at Moo & Two and all the images are taken in the shop by photographer Dan Hopkins. The pictures are for sale but only to the subjects in the picture for £25.
A series of four infrared landscapes created in Somerset by Dan Hopkins.
Infrared photography offers a different view, a world where foliage is white, water is black, structures of trees can be seen through the leaves and the sky is dark.
These images are created with a converted digital camera rather than the more traditional filter system. Images can be created when the sun is at its strongest and at the height of summer to help create the strong contrast typical in infrared imagery.
Since posting this, all the framed images sold to one buyer!
My exhibition of informal portraiture at Moo & Two on Frome’s historic Catherine Hill has been enlarged and the run extended. So come and have a coffee or a tea and have a look.
