The Road to Avalon

The Road to Avalon – Split tone – APSC © Dan Hopkins 2015

This image is the start of a series “The Road to Avalon”. A series of pictures based geographically around Glastonbury and more specifically Glastonbury Tor. The Tor and St Michael’s Tower that sits atop the hill can be seen from miles around, sitting on the horizon from the Somerset Levels and the surrounding hills.

Avalon has a mystery all of its own, a place of legend which may or may not be reachable – this is the destination of this road or path.

The Tor can be glimpsed in all images in the series.

All images are cropped 16:9 ratio and the black and white images split-toned cool/warm.
